Like many millions of users of Instagram I too have been uploading my photos on a regular basis. I too have made my profile public. But for a long time my account is only followed my friends and my photos only liked by my friends. Recently I came across websites suggesting to buy instagram likes. I had this dilemma of why buy Instagram likes. It’s not like I am being paid for being a member of Instagram. So why would anyone buy likes. It makes sense for semi pros to buy these Instagram likes as this would make their photos to increase in popularity and hence increase in visibility. Now these semi pros like actually pros will be able to sell their images to those who would like to pay for these images. As a user of Instagram, one has to wonder how it helps us. Actually that is a hard question to answer. All private users anyway hide their photos. Majority of those who are public are lucky to even get noticed with the millions of public profiles. It seems this very market scenario has created the need for such a system of buying and selling of likes. Once you get these likes, it will create more visibility and hence chances of actually getting what you want, more likes. It is surprising to note that so many people are making money on Instagram considering that Instagram itself is not making any money out of its own product.
